Proverbs 4:20-22 says, "My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life to those that find them, and health to all their flesh." (KJV). This passage tells us to keep God's Word in our lives, in our minds, in our hearts, as much as possible, all day, every day.

IMPORTANCE OF SCRIPTURES
We all go through trials and tribulations in our lives. The Good News is that God has given us an escape for everything that we will face. First and foremost, He gave us His Son, Jesus Christ, who died for us to forgive our sins, and grant us eternal life with Him. What an awesome expression of Love!
God has also provided us with wise and truthful written instructions that can help us to get through every situation we encounter while on this earth. These instructions are located betwen Genesis 1:1 and Revelation 22:21. Yes, it is the entire Bible.
Many people don't know how to discern the true word of God. The answer is actually simple: If it's not found in the bible, it's not God's word. When you hear something that is claimed to be teaching from the bible, it is suggested that you look it up in your own bible to make certain about it.
Some of these inspirational scriptures can be understood just as they appear here. For others you may want to read more of the story. So it is suggested that you have your own bible handy as you read through the lists. This will help ensure your understanding of exactly what God wants to say to you.
