And those sown on the good (well-adapted) soil are the ones who hear the Word and receive and accept and welcome it and bear fruit--some thirty times as much as was sown, some sixty times as much, and some [even] a hundred times as much. Mark 4:20 (AMP)

Touch His Cloak and Be Healed

By: Nancy Quinn

The pain was a constant, dull ache. She'd been hearing about the man who healed people by just his gentle, yet commanding voice. Rumors confirmed he was in her village by the crowds of people rushing past her doorway toward the town square. Tightening her shawl around her head, she shuffled toward the square, determined to reach him. If only she could reach him, her twelve years of suffering would be over.

Have you touched the edge of Christ's cloak in faith? This great woman of faith's example shows us that we can come to the Lord's throne in confidence as she did so long ago. While the Bible doesn't tell us much about her, we know she had great faith. She believed the Lord would heal her if she could only touch his cloak.

The Lord's answers are yes, no, or not yet. But whatever healing you need, whether mental, physical or spiritual, come to the Lord to ask for healing, and BELIEVE! The Lord loves you and has great plans for your life. He can turn all our bad circumstances we go through into a beautiful testimony and witness for others. So as you allow the Lord to minister to you through your struggles, you can trust him and have faith that your prayers will be answered in his perfect timing.

Matthew 9:20-22 "Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. She said to herself, "If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed. Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that moment."

Jeremiah 17:14 "Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.

May God bless these words as I strive to edify and encourage others in their walk with Christ. Married 20 years, I have a teenage son, and two wonderful golden retriever/collie dogs. I am also a contributing staff writer to HeartFriendz.com - an awesome website just for women! Nancy Quinn
